Common Roads of Education

I woke up this morning, grabbed a cup of coffee, and began thinking about my studies over the past decade. The bitter feelings of rejection from misinterpretations of my personal and professional character have subsided, while my writing skills have seemed to fall into place just at the right moment.

The effort of sharing and additionally deciding what to share for my first story about my studies was more difficult than I imagined. I’m taking this moment to “not write” about the bittersweet victories that went unnoticed, unappreciated, or oftentimes, taken advantage of, without boasting about the commitments I made to fixing other people’s mistakes. I certainly do not want to relive past mistakes, both personally and historically speaking. I’m taking a proactive and professional approach to making recommendations for cultural improvements from my observations.

My studies, specifically over the past eight years, were initiated to provide myself a better understanding of real-time economics and politics, regarding the effects and influences the media and technology have had on American and other world cultures. Sir Halford J. Mackinder’s educational guidance and leadership helped me fill in many of the gaps in my own misunderstandings of education, politics, and community development. There is no need to reinvent the reins of knowledge passed on to me from centuries of proper leadership. My lessons were well earned through a life of Mackinder family traditions, simple life lessons, and a dedicated work ethic.

Possessing a higher education and fulfilling life goals with responsibility is essential for communities, both small and large, to develop properly based on their own geographical needs for an inclusive and sustainable future. Today, I’m taking my first steps back into business with confidence and good intentions, bettering myself as well as the people I interact with daily.
