Sometimes Marines Need a Good Laugh!

My time serving in the United States Marine Corps was a lot of fun, and it was the deep laughs that helped me get through the toughest of days. I’m not sure Marine Officers had ever seen an NCO love his job so much. Hell Yeah! I was at war at the age of eighteen years. What could be better from my ambitious perspective at the time?

Dropping life initiatives to go to war was easy; I had been planning a career as a Marine as a secondary career anyway, just in case business initiatives did not work out. When my Dad told me about the war, it got me thinking. I quickly transitioned out of my life duties and committed to serving in the war.

Before I knew it, I was damn near running an entire maintenance company as a Lance Corporal transitioning into a Corporal. I was so dedicated that I never even mentioned to my family the importance of my job and duties, and left those responsibilities to my superiors upon transitioning into my next job.

Over the years, I’ve learned, and as I transition once again into a new job running my company as I had intended before committing to America, I am proud that my efforts were for you, not me.

I hope I served you well.
